The Company's operations are grouped into two businesses: Retail Pharmacy and Pharmacy Benefit Management. During the fiscal year ended January 1, 2005 (fiscal 2004), the Company filled over 366 million prescriptions. In July 2004, the Company acquired J.C. Penney Co. Inc.'s Eckerd drugstore chain of approximately 1,260 Eckerd drug stores, located mainly in the southern United States.
